About the Internship

In the spring of 2022, I was selected to be a design intern for the non-profit organization, To Write Love on Her Arms. To Write Love on Her Arms is a nonprofit movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury, and suicide. All of the projects shown below were done during my time as an intern. I worked directly with and reported to one of the senior designers on the team. I worked on a variety of different projects including social media posts, images for their app - The Hopeful, merchandise designs, and more.

While I worked on various design projects during my time as a To Write Love on Her Arms design intern, the main three things I worked on were quote images for apps and blogs, social media posts and stories, as well as product designs.

Blog & App Quote Images

To Write Love on Her Arms works a lot with quotes. Twice a week they post blogs on a variety of mental health related topics. In these blog posts they always pull out a quote and create a visual for it. They also create batches of what are called App Quote Images. These images are made to be utilized on their app, the Hopeful. Below are blog images and app quote images that I have created during my time as an intern.

Decorative Quote Image Reading: "You Are needed So Much More Than You Know. Please Stay"
Decorative Quote Image Reading: "You need to know recovery is possible. Freedom is possible."
